OUR PHILOSOPHY

Honjokko is a more intimate riff on Pirata Group’s celebrated, contemporary Japanese restaurant, Honjo. Expect global cuisine influences interpreted through Japanese ingredients and techniques, with Honjo fan favourites joined by an irresistible sushi selection.

Honjokko was born to delight guests with artful bites, each one individually crafted to place ingredients, textures and flavour on a pedestal. Highlights on the food menu include tempting nigiri, gunkan, maki rolls, ‘no rice’ rolls, and premium sashimi. Beverages will include a selection of over 30 sakes and 100 wines from around the world, carefully curated to complement the food offering.

For guests craving heartier fare, Honjokko has a selection of larger format hot and grilled items such as Wagyu beef, pork belly, barramundi and more.

Decorated with delicate paper umbrellas, hand painted screens by Elsa Jeandedieu Studio, and tables covered in luscious ostrich hide, Honjokko is a quietly enchanting venue for guests with a taste for life’s finer things. Koshitsu is a private room that seats 24 guests, while the rest of the restaurant provides a view either toward the action on the open sushi kitchen, or the glittering cityscape seen from the vast balcony. Honjokko invites all of Taikoo Place for modern Japanese cuisine within a stimulating and welcoming setting.
